Firm Prequalification
Architects and Engineers

Professional firms and their consultants must be prequalified at the time they submit statements of qualifications (CDB 255 Form) for projects. Firms which are not prequalified and wish to do CDB work should complete the A/E Prequalification Application. The application form asks firms to provide a summary of professional services, relevant project/work experience and types of personnel. Please remember that processing may take up to 30 days.

Firms also must be in good standing with the Secretary of State and be properly licensed in the respective professions of architecture, land surveying, professional engineering and/or structural engineering with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. Minority- and female-owned firms should be registered/certified with the Illinois Department of Central Management Services or certified with the Illinois Department of Transportation. The prequalification will be effective for one year for new firms. Upon renewal, most firms will receive a two year prequalification.
